December has come to an end. And we are missing the crisp sunlight. The beginning of the new year will start off our diversified culture with the kite flying festival and it's food and kite songs. It is called Uttrayan, Makarsankranti, Lohri, Maghi, Khichdi and other things. Uttrayan marks the end of Winter Solstice. It is celebrated in appreciation for the Sun God. In the main course, people have Undhiyu, which is a Gujarati mix vegetable with fenugreek dumplings.
